Datuk Mohd Hafarizam bin Harun holds an LL.B (Hons) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (1996) and LL.M (Warwick) United Kingdom (2003) in Law in Development under the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office Scholarship “Chevening” program.

Experience

• Called to the Bar on 12th April 1997, after nine months of pupilage at Messrs. Zaid Ibrahim & Co.
• Been in practice since 1997 with the following firms:
  1. Messrs Zainal Abidin & Co. as Legal Assistant (1997-1999)
  2. Messrs Rashid & Lee as Legal Assistant (1999-2002)
  3. Messrs Shahrizat Rashid & Lee as Senior Associate (2004-2005)
  4. Messrs Hafarizam & Co. as Managing Partner (2006)
• Counsel for Election Petition in cases which are against and in cases for Barisan Nasional in 1999, 2004 and 2006
• Involved in the UMNO Disciplinary Board and Appellate Committee since 1999
• Legal Advisor to UMNO
• Conducted matters to the Federal Court level
• Company Secretary to Yayasan Pendidikan Tun Abdul Razak and Universiti Tun Abdul Razak Sdn. Bhd.

Recognition

• Appointed as Justice of Peace (JP) by His Excellency Tuan Yang Terutama Yang DiPertua Negeri Sabah on October 2009.
• Bestowed the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) by Yang DiPertua Negeri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob in October 2008.
• Conferred the Pingat Kebesaran Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) by His Royal Highness Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong in June 2006.
• Conferred the Pingat Kebesaran Ahli Mahkota Selangor (AMS) by His Royal Highness the Sultan of the State of Selangor Darul Ehsan in December 2006.
